I feel like I should write another entry, but right now, there's not much to report. At least I think so.
I signed the lease earlier this week. I'm really moving and paying double rent will be painful, but I'll make it. I was able to save some money that hasn't been eaten up by car repairs or vet bills.
The car still worries me, although it is 90% alright now. I got two new keys, finally. They're remotes to my car, actually, and the buttons of the old keys stopped working. They even fell of the board they were soldered onto. One key would open the car and the other one close it. Weird time. But I'm back to working keys. Before you ask: Yes, they're not keys in the traditional sense. I have an emergency key in case the car battery went flat (again... *sigh*) and I have to open the car. My car is fully electric - except for the fuel, it runs on gas like any other car - I don't even have an ignition lock that operates with a key, no, it's a simple button! Basically works as well as the key approach, although the ignition sometimes fails, but that is a known bug of the whole series...
I need to see my mechanic because neither the air con nor the catalytic converter work well. Minor issues. Hopefully, the converter isn't broken, but just one of the sensors moved around.
And then, there's the TÜV..... every German car needs to be checked by or according to the rules of a technical control board every two years. I'm due in November and slightly worried.... My mechanic suggested I should sell the car before it gives up completely. If that happens before the move, I'm doomed.... How else am I supposed to get to work...? And even after the move.... I can't do my Saturday grocery shopping without a car. I might get to the stores by bus, but how am I gonna transport groceries for a whole week...? I have to admit.... it worked, at least somehow, when I was still living in Nuremberg, with neither car nor license....

Next thing: The vet.
I had to go to the vet about a fortnight ago. I accidentally hurt my persian while trying to get a knot out of her fur. She had to have the tear in her skin taken care of and going to the vet at a Saturday night seems like a plan... Well, I hadn't noticed she was hurt until I went to bed T.T She had the tear stapled and unlike the last time (same problem, a few years ago) she didn't remove the staples herself.
The vet told me that the skin of persians was very sensitive and prone to tears, especially as the cats get older.
This morning, we went to have the staples removed and blood test to be done. Cindy was quite alright with being pricked, but Greg didn't quite want to cooperate when it was his turn. Somehow, it worked. Both cats are fine and the results of the tests will be due Monday. Something Cindy didn't like was being taken to the vet. When we let her out of the box she hid under the vet's desk immediately. It took some effort to get her back. Greg wasn't pleased with going to the vet either and pooped into the box. Luckily it was solid this time. The vet suggested he might have a hyperthyroidism, but that's nothing you couldn't fix with a pill. Having a hypothyroidism myself I want to either swap with him or meet in the middle so that neither of us has problems. Well, it's just an idea so far. Last year his blood test was alright.

And at work I was facing problem I thought it would take me a few days to complete.
Nope... I was done by noon. Success! :D

Oh... and... semi-finals!!! \o/
